Several common thin films

1, biaxially oriented polypropylene film (BOPP)

Biaxially oriented polypropylene film is formed by the extrusion of polypropylene particles after the formation of the sheet, and then by the two vertical and horizontal tensile. Because the tensile molecular orientation, so the physical film stability, mechanical strength, good air tightness, high degree of transparency and light, strong wear resistance, is the most widely used printing film, usually used with thickness of 20 ~ 40 m, the most commonly used is 20 m. BOPP film tension heat sealing disadvantage is poor, so commonly used as an outer film composite film, such as polyethylene film and composite moisture resistance, transparency, strength, stiffness and printability were ideal, suitable for holding dry food. Because of the appearance of biaxially oriented polypropylene film for non-polar, high degree of crystallinity, the appearance of free energy is low, therefore, the poor performance of printing, ink and adhesive adhesion, surface treatment held in the printing and composite necessary.

2, low density polyethylene film (LDPE)

Low density polyethylene films are usually made of two processes: blow molding and casting. The thickness of cast polyethylene film is symmetrical, but it is seldom used because of its high cost. Blown polyethylene film is blown by the blow molding PE particles from the blow molding machine, the lower cost, so the most widely used. Low density polyethylene film is a translucent, light, soft texture of the film, with excellent chemical stability, heat sealing, water resistance and moisture resistance, freezing resistance, can be boiled. The disadvantage is that the oxygen tension from poor inner film used in composite packaging materials, and is currently the most widely used, one of the largest amount of plastic packaging film, plastic packaging film consumption accounted for about 40%.

Because the polar group containing polyethylene molecules, and a high degree of crystallinity, the appearance of free energy is low, therefore, the poor performance of the film printing, ink and adhesive adhesion, therefore held in the printing and composite necessary before surface treatment.

3, polyester film (PET)

The polyester film is therefore a polyethylene terephthalate material, which is extruded into a thick film and then stretched into a thin film material. It is a colorless, transparent, light film, excellent mechanical performance, rigidity, hardness and high toughness, puncture resistance, friction resistance, high and low temperature gentle, chemical resistance, oil resistance, air tightness and fragrance is good, is one of the commonly used barrier composite film substrate. However, the high cost of polyester film, usually the thickness of 12mm, commonly used for cooking packaging of the outer material, better printing.

4, nylon film (PA)

Nylon film is a very solid film, good transparency, and has good light, tensile strength, high tensile strength, but also has good heat resistance, cold resistance, oil resistance and organic solvent resistance, wear resistance, puncture resistance is excellent, and is soft, excellent oxygen barrier, but the water vapor from the poor, moisture absorption, moisture permeability is larger, the heat sealing is poor, suitable for packaging rigid items, such as greasy food, meat, fried food, vacuum packing food, cooking food etc..

5, cast polypropylene film (CPP)

Polypropylene film of polypropylene film is accepted casting production process, and can be divided into ordinary CPP and CPP two kinds of cooking, excellent transparency, thickness of symmetry, and the performance of vertical and horizontal symmetry, commonly used as lining material of composite films. Ordinary CPP film thickness is usually between 25 ~ 50 m, and OPP composite good transparency, bright appearance, strong feeling, gift bags are usually accepted this kind of material. The film also has good thermal sealing property. Cooking CPP film thickness is between 60 ~ 80 m, high temperature cooking ability of 121 DEG C, 30min, oil resistance, good air tightness, and high heat sealing strength, meat packing inner usually were accepted CPP film cooking class.

6, aluminum film

Currently the most widely used aluminum film tension polyester aluminum film (VMPET) and CPP aluminum film (VMCPP). The aluminized film has both the characteristics of the plastic film and the characteristics of the metal. Film appearance is the role of aluminum shading and UV irradiation, which extends the contents of the shelf life, and improve the film's brightness, from a certain extent, instead of aluminum foil, also is cheap, elegant and good insulation properties, therefore, aluminum in composite packaging should be used very common, the current tense used in drying, biscuits and other snack food packaging and some medicine and cosmetics packaging.
